(More customer reviews)The Versatile Enhanced Data Rate Bluetooth Receiver is great on paper (and in pictures), but poorly designed.
It is about the size of a US Military "Dogtag" w/ the rubber edging. I'm guessing the design is supposed to appeal to a younger, hipper generation than I, but I won't old that again the designer. What I will hold against them is a background buzz that will only go away if I hold it with my thumb over the "Bluetooth" logo on the front. I was using the receiver with a set of Bose Noise-Canceling headphones and the buzz was immediately obvious and only present when the receiver was was relaying music. Once the song stopped on my phone, there was a one or two second delay and then the buzz would stop. If I held my thumb of the logo while the song was playing, the sound was crystal-clear. So, my guess is that it is using a low-end antenna that is picking us noise on the edges of the bluetooth spectrum.
I took the device apart with the goal of shielding the antenna, but the fine wire connecting the board to the battery did not hold up to much movement. In the end, I would recommend looking around for a more main-stream product from a name-brand.
