This unit packs a lot of great features, but they're poorly executed/implemented. Curved screen catches a lot of glare from the vehicle glass. Large album cover art is cropped slightly along the right edge. Unit has trouble with some MP3 tags. Video files are poorly decoded resulting in artifacts, jerkiness, freezing and loss of sync with audio. The USB connection occassionally goes in and out, even when active.
The worst thing is the unit fails to boot up properly about 10% of the time. It either sits there locked-up with a gray glow from the blank screen, or the radio plays but no controls will respond (including the remote). When this happens, you are forced to shut off your car (not advisable on the highway) or to reset the system (losing all your settings and presets).
It seems like the control software was written sloppily and makes the system unreliable. I'm debating waiting for another firmware update or returning the unit immediately. I really like the large color display and the myriad customization options, but if the unit refuses to operate properly when turned on, then what's the point?
